Since this is a self check in campground you can arrive at any time. However this can be a busy campground so there may not be any sites available.
If you have a reservation, you can arrive anytime. For walk in campsites, its first come first serve.
What sites would be most away from the highway?
If you have an rv or camper you can stay in the casino parking lot right across the highway from Bay Furnace for one night for no charge. We stay there the night before we want to check in to Bay Furnace so we can get a site and check in as early as possible. We have a hard side camper, I am not sure if they would allow a pop up to be set up over night. There are a few parking spots in the back of the parking lot with electric pedestals to hook up to.
