What's with all the little caterpillars on the walkway to the beach this year?! They have eaten the leaves on a couple of trees bare! They're gross!

I believe those are Gypsy moth caterpillars. They are an invasive species.

Thank you. I'll pass on the french-fried worms. Invasive, for sure! I hope they are doing something about it before they attack any more trees.

Burn the hair off and fry them in peanut oil @375 for about 10-15 seconds lightly salt and lemon pepper cool on a paper towel.......gypsy fries
