Great time on the canoe trail with the family! There were parts that were a little tight for a full canoe, but definitely manageable. Just make sure to keep looking out for the trail makers, it's easy to miss some of them.

Super relaxing park, it's perfect for peace of mind and just to unwind. Plenty of space to grill or just sit and look at the water.

The park has an amazing 3 mi canoe trail (out & back). It’s very calm and unwinding place without crowds of people. I rented kayak right from the park office. They also have canoes for rent. But be careful, it looks you can only rent kayaks/canoes during very short office open hours. I recommend to call the park’s office before visiting if plan to rent.

Nice trail around the lake, a lot of people fishing along the banks.

You can drive to the spillway and launch your boat there. It will be easy for a jon boats, canoe, kayaks. Don't block the access for others though.
Regulations at State Parks are that everything is to remain as it was prior to your arrival. "Remove nothing and leave only footprints" I would take that to mean digging would not be allowed but to be certain, ask a Senior Park Ranger about their state's regulations.
Not very much no concrete except into the store and restrooms.....the path to the picnic area may be smooth enough to push a wheelchair
People do. I haven't.
There is a box for park admission and parking pass. It is on the honor system, please ... The park boats are for rent. You can launch private boats, with electric trolling motors and paddles, life jackets must be on board or fish from the bank.
The website says you can but I haven't ever really seen anywhere to rent one from all the times that I have been.
Hi Chavorrius Yes You Can Fish But You Must Have A Valid Permit To Do So
I don't think so, but I do know that there is 1 or more gators living there.
From their website ..."The park has two picnic shelters and a community building that can be reserved and are popular with groups. The picnic shelters accommodate up to 45 people each. The community building accommodates up to 60 people." .... no camping.
Yes fishing is allowed. You can also rent rowboats. https://southcarolinaparks.com/goodale/top-5
Make sure you drive around to the back part, a lot easier to put on than if you park in the parking lot.
Something with high percentage of deet is best. Spray on a hat, legs and arms. Helps with ticks also.
You'll have to reserve it and check availability through the south carolina state parks website. The open shelters are usually first come first serve, but I think they can be reserved. The building with the kitchen and bathrooms is a reservation only
I think it was around 11 when we rented. Max occupancy is 60
