There is no fee for individuals. But there is a fee for vehicles. You can either buy a one-day vehicle pass or an annual pass. Vehicle with WIS license plate: annual $28, annual if resident is 65 or older $13, one day $8 (some parks $13 or $10), one day for resident older than 65 $3. For vehicles with out of state license plates the fees are: annual $38 and one day $11.
It's only a couple of dollars. Buying a day pass for the Wisconsin state parks will work, however due to theft, you cannot buy one there anymore. https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/admission.html
