Children must be at least 42inches (107 cm) tall, pass a steep stair test unassisted, and be able to listen and follow directions from a Ranger to participate in a cave tour. Children cannot be carried through the cave and childcare services are not available.
We went there in March. There is no “age restriction” but it’s not recommended for under 6. They have to meet height requirements and walk by themselves. There are a set of stairs by the ranger station where you sign up for the tour that are test stairs to see if they can climb them. They said there are about 100 of those size steps to climb. We went with our 4 year old and he couldn’t go and 1 year old in backpack carrier also unable to go. We were very disappointed because the website doesn’t mention this and we took an almost 4 hour round trip detour to go see it.
We took our 3 boys, youngest was 5 and he loved it!
No age restriction. In fact, they have the US parks junior ranger program. I do recommend the kids have at least some interest in it and are not adverse to darkness or moderate hiking.
I do not know if there is an age restriction for children. I would not advise taking children younger than 9.
No i dont remember being one mentioned
