Nice park if people felt comfortable and safe using it. I was told by a park employee the homeless were allowed to stay there. They even keep the power on so they can charge their phones. Makes no sense. A place for children to play??? What a waste of resources.

With a skate park so active on a regular basis, it rivals some in such small towns as Astoria, San Francisco, and South Beach. The tall trees offer plenty of shade, the stage offers 24 hour charging ports, and the grass is watered via nightly sprinklers. If you're trying to sleep, you might not want to do it on the grass as you're likely to take an unwanted shower. This place is great!

This little park is the only local park with a specific area intended and equipped with the children of this community in mind. All playground equipment was provided by donations from members of our community in recognition of a child's need to play outside, social interaction with their peers and to know their town values them and their health and happiness. It is often a place of refuge for homeless persons looking for a place to simply be and that can be concerning to parents so I encourage them to accompany their children at play. It presents a priceless opportunity to teach kids about compassion, empathy and to discourage judgment of anyone based on their circumstances or lack of money. This park hosts several community events such as a free Concert"Breakfast in the park with Santa" by our well appreciated Lyon's Club. No one is turned away. There is an annual Labor Day Festival and fundraiser also put on by the Lyon's Club top raise money for a huge variety of services they provide persons in need that cannot otherwise provide for themselves. There is a Slow-pitch coed league that plays and hosts tournaments, etc. They never seem to be less than friendly, good natured adults and never is there a shortage of laughter. Finally, due to the dedication of parents within our valley, the park also added a skate park for young people, again raising the funds within the community.

For how small the town is, it was nice small skate park. Seems like you have plenty of flat ground before getting into your next transition. Great for beginners that need to learn how to drop I to a quarter pipe and people that like flat ground. The worst part was the park it self seemed to be where the homeless of the town slept.
