We are looking to do some hiking October. We are looking to do a one-nighter. (1st hike) Hike all day Saturday and depart on Sunday. Do you know if there is anywhere to camp for the first night when starting at this starting point? Thank you

Do you mean that you will start your hike at Springer and then hike all day on the AT Trail and camp Saturday night?

There is plenty of camping at the Springer mountain shelter. Roughly 1 mile from the Springer Mountain parking lot.
