I've been wanting a bag of local apples and I won't buy them out of season again. They get frozen and thawed to sell and they taste weird and are spongey. Peanut butter isn't even making them taste better.

Loved our day at B J Reece Orchards. The best. We enjoyed the petting farm experience very much too. A well maintained property. The Apple Cider Donuts and the fried pies from their daily fresh bakery are a must try. Loved the fried pecan pie the most. Definitely recommend. Thanks so much for visiting and so glad you enjoyed your day with us! Blessings! 🍎😊

Loved our time here picking apples and spending time in the petting zoo. Animals were very well cared for and and the property was absolutely beautiful. We were there late in the season last year so we got to walk way to the back of the property find apples. We loved this because we were able to see more of the property!Thank you so much for visiting and so glad you enjoyed your day with us!! We think it is beautiful up here too! Blessings! 🍎😊

Nope they don't
Yes they do and they are fabulous!! Get mine there every year!!
We still have lots of apples to pick in our upick across the street from the market. Blessings! 😊🍎
Weekends during Oct will be crazy.
Yes! We sure do! Just call the market at 706-276-3048
They told me they can ship apples you your house. Call them during business hours for shipping estimates.
Apple picking "festival" going on now until the apples are gone - probably late Sept / early Oct. Check their website for details.
$5 per person, they are picked out though. We were there last week and the only apples left were golden delicious.
Yes, they can be hired at 14. In GA, they will need to get a work permit. 14yr old minor can work no more than 4 hr shift and no more than 15 hrs/wk.
We went on a Wednesday afternoon and it was not crowded at all. However, it was overcast and did start raining on us, so maybe that's the key. Go when it's going to rain. Lol!
There are a bunch of other places to buy pies and things in the area but that is the only location I know of to buy that brand. Never tried other places so I can't say if they are better or worse but I can say that by Reece has very good pies and is worth the traffic/people. Go on a weekday to avoid the crowds but know that half of the orchard and attractions are closed so its a trade off
$5 per person for admission. Then you pay for your apple bag. 1 peck (or about 10-12 lbs) is $14. The full price list can be found at this link: http://www.reeceorchards.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/ReeceOrchards-WeekendFunPricing.pdf
We went 2 weeks ago. It was $ 5 a person.
We will close December 21 for the holiday season! Blessings!
They were also making burgers on the grill when I was there
We do grow peaches but they are late varieties and we open the last week of July! Blessings!
Their website says the last of the apples were picked in October; I think their market will be open til Dec 22nd, but I'd call them directly to make sure. Good luck, :)
We do grow Asian pears but they come into season the first of September and generally are available for 4 weeks inside our market. Blessings!
I don't think so. They sent a notification yesterday indicating that they don't have any more apples but they still welcome visitors to all the other activities at the farm.
We are open until December 22 this year in our market and bakery. All the upick ended last weekend and the farm fun activities will be open until the end of October on Saturday and Sunday only. Thanks!
I don't think so
Yes, we are open from 9-6 through October.
Yes, we sure do!
Not this year! We lost a large percentage of our crop this year due to the late frost so we are unable to run any specials this season. Sorry!
During the week days only the u pick and pre farm are open. All activities are open on the weekends.
Hi- Our Peaches are late varieties so we will open the end of July! Thanks for your interest!!
We aren’t sure what if any positions we will have available for the season but you are welcome to stop by and take an application!
Apple season ends around November in the Georgia and North Carolina mountains, so not any fresh picked, but store bought is not bad
Every day between 9-6. Last ticket sold at 5. Ends October 29.
I would call first to check what's left. They were mostly gone last weekend.
by interstates 515 and 76 in downtown Ellijay, there are several hotels.
Look on GROUPON... We saved $69 on a 4 person Family Fun Pack. was $95 for all the bells and whistles, including a Peck of apples, minus Zip Line. There are certainly less expensive options You can pay individually for only certain activities which is less expensive.
