Hello Johann, it is possible but always be prepared to hike back down just in case. It is not a guarantee that we make it to the summit. Tickets can be purchased at the Post Office on the Summit.
If you want to ensure a sit on the cog do it the other way around ride up and hike down. Of course you can hike up and ride the cog down pervided the cog is not full
