You will need to call if you want to place a hold on an animal. There is usually a fee to do this.

If you want them to hold a animal you will have to give them a call. I believe they charge $25 to hold a animal. If you decide to adopt the animal that $25 will go towards the adoption fee

It’s a $25 hold fee, it does NOT go towards the adoption fee- unfortunately. I had asked the same thing when I held my dog Hunter. If you pay to hold an animal, you do not get that fee back. Regardless if you adopt the pet or not.
