Adult round trip ticket is $15 & child is $7. You can start at the bottom station in St Elmo or at the top station on Lookout Mountain. You have to pay to park at both locations via debit/credit. On a regular day the trains leave every half hour. If you want a round trip you must get there an hour before closing and don't forget it is on Eastern Time Zone. Call ahead and ask if the fog is heavy on the mountain. Train goes up and down the mountain one mile at 6 miles per hour. In walkable distance at the top station is battles for Chattanooga and Point Park. Please note that the train does not take you to Rock City or Ruby Falls but is a short drive away. P.s. the tax is cheaper if you start at the bottom location.
