The top houses the upper station. You can climb further up the stairs to have views of downtown Chattanooga or downstairs to see the pulley and machinery working live for the cable train through the thick glass windows. There is a gift shop inside with some food available, coffee, pizza, hotdogs, popcorn etc. If you go outside of that, you can walk 5 min to the Civil War memorial battle site of Point Park which is what I did.

At the top you have an approximate 170° fantastic view of where you came from and surroundings which stretches as far as you can see.
