I recommend checking the website before going. Swimming is frequently stopped throughout the season because of contamination. This park does have a pool and splash pad area in the event you can't swim at the beach.
Personally I will not swim in the lake. Several cities use the lake as a sewage overflow, meaning there is a lot of human waste in the water. I know they monitor the amount of contamination, but I just don't feel comfortable. We just use the pool and splash pad instead. The pool is $5 per person per day, and the splash pad is free. The park also has a lot of other amenities, all of which are very good.
Guess so
I was there last Monday on the 30th and the beach wasn't open. But everything else was so it was still cool just taking my kids to the pool and splash pad.
It was open last weekend and people were swimming
I saw many people swimming there
The web sight says opeit's open, and there were people swimming last weekend? But dont know 100%.
It is very clean as far as I can tell. Plenty of people swin in the lake. There is a very nice beach there
