Some of it is posted. Yet, a lot of it is State Wilderness land, forever free. You could probably call or go online to find out the details. I don't hunt. I am a custom walking stick and cane maker, so I go looking for dead fall that I can work with, from alongside the dirt road access. The Five Ponds Wilderness area that I have been to, is 3 miles north of Star Lake, NY 13690, on State Highway Route 3.
I believe it is...but you have to hike in 5 or 6 miles one way!
I think so..I don't hunt..but its state land..you have to be 500 ft from a trail or road
