Besides the name Lakeside Park, I suppose its official name is Memorial Union Terrace. Extremely beautiful and relaxing lake view, could sit on the steps and dip your toe to the water if you like. Hard to imagine it is part of the student union of WU, amazing "cafeteria" -- it looks like an upscale resort to me. Close by parking garage (not free but quite affordable), be cautious it is almost always full. Could also be a good stop to go around WU campus too.

Omg i love flowers. The roses are so beautiful. So many of them. The city does a great job if taking care if this park. Its really cool how they fixed up around the pond.

Very pretty! Blue Lotus Wellness Collective held a Mommy & Me Yoga class. The water was a little gross but the park was very clean! What a wonderful gem in the city!

There are designated areas in the park that you are allowed to grill at.
It also depends on how long you want to reserve for. Our wedding here was reserved for 2 hours for set up, ceremony, pictures and tear down... $50 on August 1st. This was in 2015, rates may have changed, but this gives you an idea of expenses.
I think so. I believe a lot of the rose bushes they took out but I think there are at least a couple still there. I was there just a couple of weeks ago.
Gorgeous roses come into their glory in June, and last throughout the summer into fall.
I personally see kids and couples picking the flowers so as long as your not making the plants look barren I dont see the harm.

We had our wedding at the floral gardens in August of 2015. I recall visiting here in late September of that same year with flower still blooming beautifully. And congratulations on your engagement. With the heavy extended rain season this spring/summer I believe that the flower will stay beautiful till late September, maybe October if the weather cooperates.
