Park is close and not listed on any web sites we had planed taking our kayaks out there at the end of our trip

This isn't a review for the park more so for Google's incorrect info. It said the park was open and it isn't, there's major construction going on right now and the park is closed. It seems like a nice place as I took my family down there anyway and walked around. Very sandy, has a boat ramp and plenty of space to fish or swim.

Easy access to the river unless it's been raining. Turns into a flood pretty quickly. Sometimes the park will be closed off if it's been really rainy. Tons of trash everywhere and signs of small sketchy campfires. Good place to see the River but I wouldn't be comfortable leaving my vehicle here if I was going kayaking.
