If you browse around the store, they should have everything in order by the time you're done. Of course it depends on where you are in their queue of repairs, how many people they have repair phones, and whether they even have your specific battery in stock. But as to the second part of your question... you'll be fine. Your heart will not stop if you don't have your phone. You'll find that life does, indeed, move on.
