Question, which is better steam or diesel? And which package is the best for a couple looking for a relaxing trip? Best place to get a room?

Our train had both...diesel engine at one end of the train and steam at the other. No noticeable difference. It was a smooth, relaxing ride. So the diesel pulled us to Dillsboro, NC and the steam pulled us back to Bryson. It was a long train and they dont turn the train around. They just let a different engine pull the train in each direction.

We did both. Not much difference in the cars. Just the sound
