You can camp at elk prairie or gold beach
We went from Elk Praise and drove to fern canyon on a dirt and gravel road it passed by a beach where there was camping. I'm not sure it was gold beach. The road is a few miles south on 101 from Elk Prairie around the town of Oric.
There are several campsites at Elk Prairie Campground that have pull throughs for those camping with trailers. Where you CANNOT camp with your trailer is at Gold Beach, which is part of the same State Park, but is only accessible by a primitive road and hiking trails. It is possible to stay at Elk Prairie with your trailer and with hike or drive the truck--sans trailer--out to Gold Beach.
