Great trail! Some of the tallest trees in the world. You do need a reservation in advance. This is nice because it limits the amount of people in per day. They email you a code to the gate to get in and out. There’s a sign posted saying you’ll get either a fine or potential jail time if you go off trail. This is because going off trail damages the ecosystem surrounding the trees. Plenty to see from the trail though!

Hiked this trail yesterday, absolutely beautiful. We drove in at 9:30am while the forest was still foggy and cold, hiked down to the creek bed and saw about 3 deer and maybe 8 other hikers on the trail. Best advice we received was to take …

You need a permit and apply 48 hours in advance limited to 50 cars a day. It makes for a quieter lovely walk. Not a challenging hike and is well maintained. We went a bit off trial to the river and saw deer and ducks

Make sure to book your permit at least 48 hours in advance. You need a code and permit to unlock the gate to access the trailhead. Trail descends 800' over 1.5 miles down to the grove, so be ready for a sizeable incline on the trail back to the parking lot. Trees are unfathomably tall in a pristine area far away from the busier areas. Amazing spot to have pease and quiet deep in the woods.
