A good 1.9 mile hike to get the blood flowing. Even though we caught it on a cloudy day it just goes to show that nature has its own plans and they can all be amazing in their own way. Being in the clouds/fog has its own mystic appeal.

Beautiful two hour hike up the mountain to the viewpoints which are about half a mile long and then back down. Easy trail to follow. Plenty of great viewpoints to stop and take photos.

Very crowded trail on the weekends, seriously, we almost couldn't find parking. Other then that downside the view is breathtaking and the hike isn't very difficult. A great place for families.

This mountain trail was easy to find and round trip is a little over two miles. I would not describe it as easy; trail is wide enough to stop for rest breaks and photos. It is best to go early, early in the morning. Crowds do come quickly and parking is limited. Once you reach the top the view of Whiteside is simply marvelous.
