Beginning of the trail had couple fallen trees fun obstacle. Easy hike after but the drive in is not meant for commuter cars

The hike was great and first we have to take a small detour to discuss the drive from 126. That portion of the drive is a bit gnarly. Sure, the first part is sedate and paved. Then you go uphill on a narrow logging road with ruts, potholes, sheer cliffs and awesome views. Average mph for that middle section is about 12 mph. Then, all of a sudden you hit a beautifully paved road, and then you're at the parking lot. Once you get to the parking lot, there are about 6-7 official spots and a very nice pit toilet. No water, so bring your own. If you had a filter, you do have several spots to get down to the river. The hike down to the lower falls viewing area is fun. It is quite scenic. The hike up, if you have a modicum of physical fitness, is moderate. It is all uphill. Kids loved it without any complaints. Sometime in the future we will take the hike to the lower falls and extend it ot the picnic area and back for the 17+mile round trip. Enjoy!

Quite the hike down to the waterfalls but oh so worth it!?

It was certainly an adventure finding this waterfall. I drove in the summer and definitely recommend have some clearance on your vehicle. However it was pretty easy drive on dirt roads. Make sure you have lots of gas before heading out to the falls.

I don't think so, I didn't see a pay box or anything when I was there at least.
