Thinking of coming with our kids (will be 5 & 7.5 at the time). Are there easier hikes etc.?

Yes, many options for keeping kids entertained.

The hike to Emerald Pools is pretty easy and has good views. My 7 year old did 6 miles in the Narrows without much difficulty. The Narrows is iconic Zion hiking. Get the suggested gear from Zion Guru or Zion Adventure Co and it will make the hike more enjoyable. You don't have to do the full Narrows to have a great experience.

I agreed, the park is great for kids, except for Angel's landing, that's the hardest trail.

Short jaunts from stop to stop or long trails good for any age or ability! When we visited in spring of this year (2018) it was family and kid central! I wouldn't hesitate to bring my kids on a great adventure there.

Absolutely, the narrows are a must

Yes! There are several that are hid friendly. The narrows hike ends with an area they could splash and wade in the river. There are several others that are short and not too steep. My daughter loved the park!
