Early for sure. Parking in the national park is free if you can get there early enough for a spot. If you don't you have to pay for a spot in town on top of the entry fee to the park, unless you have already paid for a yearly park pass. There is a free shuttle from town to the park however so wherever you park in town you can get to the park for free at least. I had to pay $30 to park and I believe park entry would have been $35 if I hadn't had a park pass. There is another shuttle in the park to take you around they don't allow cars. But early means seriously early to get the free parking. Good luck!

Get there early as possible especially if you go in summer - cooler and less crowded in morning.

I agree with everyone here. Definitely go early and park in Springdale.

Early morning! While there will be crowds, it's better to go early before the heat of the day sets in. Less crowds in afternoon but the heat is awful. Bring water and refill it often ( many water fountains available through out the park). Park in Springdale and ride the free shuttle
