There is no commissary at fort mcarthur
When I was posted here in early 1990s, there was no Ft Mac commissary. Instead had to drive over to Long Beach Naval Facility but that was closed and demolished late 1990s. Only commissary for 50-70 miles is at L.A. AFB in El Segundo.
Commissaries started closing throughout California back in the 80s, From Sacramento down to San Diego, not sure exactly why!! But after over 20 years in the Military I stopped asking why. So the only commissary in the LA area is at the Los Angeles Air Force base!! In El segundo.
