Tomorrow should be fine just keep an eye on the weather and the Caltrans website
I was there last weekend and roads were clear. It's better to carry chains if the forecast says snowfall.
Definitely keep chains with you, but we went in my Corolla during February and although it was tedious we got through.
Any time , unless the close the road due to a snow storm
You would probably be fine, I went up a few weeks ago with 2 wheel drive and it had snowed the day before, rode was all clear but I had chains just in case
