Are you questioning about a museum or New England Aquarium? The New England Aquarium depending on showtimes could vary on how long you spend there. The main tank the divers feed and there are specific times for that as well as there's a sea lion show that you may want to see. Depending on the times of each of them could hold you up but walking around the aquarium looking at all the different exhibits I would estimate it to take approximately an hour and a half. I would say I'm generally they're two and a half hours total most of the times that I go... also depends on how busy it is and if you have to wait to get up close to each exhibit how many people may be in front of you. If you haven't already visited the New England Aquarium it's a terrific place to go and one bit of advice I'd like to add is that most libraries in most towns offer a pass that will get in I believe up to four adults at only $10 per person.. admission is approx $30 per person. You've received several excellent answers. It seems to average between 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours, depending on if you just walk through (or take the elevator), take advantage of great presentations, and/or snap pictures. Enjoy!

Aquarium is four floors with walking ramping around the central display. Time depends on your interest. 2 hours is average. You can save by getting CityPass which includes tickets to three other attractions in Boston.
You can take at least two hours if you walking along.
It will depend upon the individual or group. If you're moving along in an orderly, purposeful way, then an hour or so. If you're in a group, taking pictures, going from here to there and back, perhaps up to 3 hours.
