It was good. Our children (ages 5-17) loved it. Recommend planning on spending at least 5 hours to go through all the exhibits, or more if you watch any shows. Parking is a bit expensive, but on par with the city. Staff was nice. You can leave, and come back in with a handstamp.

Used a reciprocity agreement with the NC Zoo to visit the Boston Science Center for free. Spent the entire day from (9am to 3.30pm) visiting with my kids. There were enough exhibits and interactive activities to keep them occupied the whole time. They loved most of it. We didn't watch any of the shows. Definitely a great place for kids and even adults.

Would recommend to anyone of any age. My husband and I liked it more than my 2 kids did I think. Definitely plan on staying the whole day or you might not get through the whole place. So much to look at and play with. Amazing place if you love science and history. Food was okay and gift shop was a disappointment. Not a lot of selection for such a big museum like that. Parking garage is kinda expensive so prepare for that too..

Wonderful museum! Many rooms with different information and activities that teach and entertain us! We spent 4 hours in the museum and couldn't go to all the rooms. We couldn't stop for lunch from so many activities in all the rooms! Of course the coolest rooms are for dinosaurs, pixel and engineering activities! But it is also possible to know a little about the first trip to the moon, about the first peoples and how they lived, about the animals, their habitat and type of food, there are several species of fish and other living marine animals, there is the pixel cartoons where you can learn about the process of computerized cartoons from Disney! (this room is wonderful! I love it!)! Finally, I recommend taking a day to walk around this museum. Really wonderful! There is paid parking under the museum, but if you arrive early you can find a parking meter in the nearby streets. Tickets can be purchased on site or through the website.

Yes,my kids love it there. Besure to go to the electrcity show! If youre kids dont like the loud noise, the even have seating behind glass.
NONMEMBERS (Advance Purchase) Adult (12+) Senior (60+) Child (3 - 11) $34.,................$30…................ $29 NONMEMBERS (Day of Purchase) Adult (12+) Senior (60+) Child (3 - 11) $37..................... $33..…...........$32
Heck yes! Some of my best childhood memories are in that museum!
Yes. They are $3-$5 depending on size. The jumbo is $5 and is HUGE! We easily fitted three full backpacks and winter coats for a family of four. Sometimes the lockers may sell out on busier days but there is also a coat check for $2 per item
The museum usually makes plans with the group's coordinator ahead of time. If your teacher said to bring a lunch, I'm sure it would be fine. Just ask your teacher if it's ok if your lunch has to be refrigerated. Or you could put an ice pack in your lunchbox to keep it cool. Have fun, it's a great place to visit.
Yes
You can try your local public library for discounted passes. Free passes are available to certain corporate employees. I know MGH provides free passes.
There is on street meter parking :)
The pass lets you visit places within a time period. Usually 3 days in a row. You get to see Boston at its best, see the best attractions for one price. To see the attractions go to Boston City Pass or check on Groupon.
Really depends... I've gone through everything in 2 hours and other days my kids will sit in one area for 2 hours .
I think is both ways. You do some adult fun activities. Or you can take the kids and have some fun kids activities. Its both ways the same. I take my kids and they have so much fun. I also take my mom and 19 year old sister and we have so much fun while the boys are having fun. It also depends on how you see it.
Questions here go to the general public, not to the actual business. You might find the answer faster by visiting the museum website at www.mos.org
Only for active military, no reserve, dependants, or Veteran's. However, it is free on veterans day.
They are somewhat pricey, but it is absolutely worth the money!
Hall of human life is pretty active for everyone. For kids and teens they have engineering workshops everyday from 10:30-12:30 and 1:30-3:30pm. Other exhibits have a few interactives.
$25 adults (12 plus) $20 children (3 to 11) and $21 for seniors (60 plus)
It's roughly between $20-$25 per person. I recommend getting a membership. For the cost of my family of 5, it was only $40 more ($165) than it would be to buy one single ticket per member. We ended up with a premier membership. There are different tiered memberships but the additional discounts on food, shows and parking make it well worth the investment. We've gone 3 times since December already
As a student, you can obtain free passed to museums at your local public library.
Yes, depending on how long you stay. Max I believe is like $18
No and yes
Yes 9 to 2 pm
On the third floor of the blue wing is a physics playground.
Not busy at all. Unless it rains than it will be busy. Rain always bring people in the museums.
They have elevators on every floor
9 am-5pm
I think you should try and call them directly.
Make sure you set aside hours for the visit! While some exhibits may not interest you, there will be some that get you and you'll end up spending more time there. There are also shows in the planetarium as well as electric shows with indoor lightning! When i was younger there were even live shows with animals with a caretaker that would present a wealth of facts with the group and then post a Q and A afterwards. I dont know if this still happens but there is always something happening!
In front of the museum
No one owns the museum of science. It's private organization run by a committee of high donors.
Opens everyday except for Thanksgiving and Christmas day.
$29 for adults, $25 for seniors, $24 for children, children under 3 yrs old are free.
Yes to both I recently visited myself being in a wheelchair and it was very accessible
MOS is in the Middlesex county, for the EBT call customer service.
Only Massachusetts ebt, dta, and wic. No other states.
yes. up to four free tickets. https://www.mass.gov/info-details/ebt-card-to-culture-organizations
Adults $ 29 Adults 60+ $ 22 Children $ 24 3-11 years
Body world's is not free for Ebt/wic. It is additional $8 per person.
Yes it is open on Sundays
At this time, there is an exhibit called body worlds that sounds like what you are asking about. I'm not sure if there is a permanent TAM though.
Yes, but only if you have a family level or higher membership at roger williams zoo.
Yes of course there is parking, I only do not know the price because I did not drive. But I do know that there is !!!!
About 20-30 dollars. I say bring 50 altogether for a meal and gift shop too!
The green line is literally a couple blocks away. Depending on where you're coming from, it will be on either side. Across the street, you might have to go under the bridge.
Hi... Looks like it will be open on Monday .... regular time is from 09:00 - 17:00
https://www.mos.org/admission
No, of course. It's a museum!
If your "50 year old" likes science, history, technology or nature then yes. "They" would find something of interest at each visit. Otherwise they should skip it, as they will be bored.
Most libraries have passes.
Hours are posted at www.mos.org
There is a parking garage that is decent in size. Parking is not free.
The lower level of the Blue Wing has fossils and a giant T-Rex. It's not a massive dinosaur exhibit, so don't expect to be blown away. The museum does a good job at having just enough of each topic, and they have a wide variety.
Not sure but I bet a simple Google search will answer that question.
Also, children admission is $23 (3-11), seniors $24 (60+). Some special exhibits are an additional cost and you need to buy tickets for. For example, the Butterfly Garden is $6 per person for everyone, member price is $5. Go to this website to buy tickets online to avoid having to stand in line when you get there: https://www.mos.org/daily-schedule#/displaying
General admission plus $6 per person movie ticket
The same day
Call them. See what they can do for you.
Yes, if you are a member there is a discount as well. It is across from the gift shop.
Yes, from the museum's website: "As a member of the Card to Culture program, we are proud to offer MA EBT or WIC cardholders up to 4 free Exhibit Hall admissions, with valid MA photo ID all year long. Sponsored by the Mass Cultural Council." And another pro tip if you need more than 4 passes.. check out your local public library because they'll give you like up to 4 tickets as well which could be free entry or could be a reduced entry price
Check your library for passes. If you are a library member it's $10 per person
Yes it is. Enjoy :)
If you call ahead someone will assist you. Their customer service is excellent.
Yes but u can still pay for a single visit if u font want a family membership
They have parking place
I am not sure. You would need to contact the museum for that one.
I believe so
No they are not. People want to be with their familys.
No the museum is open on Monday. You can see the daily schedule for shows and events here: https://www.mos.org/daily-schedule
Its $28(adult), but if you buy Boston duck tour tickets, you can get museum of science tickets for $18
The science museum is fun for all ages, however your 2 year old may not understand a lot of what your showing him. There are still plenty to do though. If you haven't been to the children's museum before I would recommend that first
25 adults 20 children and 21 elderly. Is that open every day of the week.
I don’t think so, it’s only for Massachusetts teachers.
It's not posible. 4-D Theater requires Exhibit Halls admission.
No. But you can bring your own lunches.
I know some of the public libraries have a few passes which includes Science Museum
The exhibit hall ticket is $20 for child, $25 for adults and $21 for seniors. That covers most of the museum.
It's worth getting a City Pass if you're a tourist and have plans to visit other attractions..
You can't bring any in where the exhibits are. Just the front area and lunch area by the gift shop
Got me
No it doesnt.
I agree with the first responder. We go to our local library and we can get a pass
It is a science center. It is not a necessity so EBT/WIC aren't accepted. Although local libraries usually have passes or discount tickets for use
No. None available. Contact the city to see what's available
It is an interactive museum, people of all ages can do everything from lay in a replica space capsule to learn to mimic the arm movements a bird uses to fly to see lightning come of an enormous van de graaf generator.
Like a zoo I dont believe they stay in that habitat through the night
I pay $12.00 for 1 hour and half.
I don't know if it exists.
There is parking but it is expensive. I would recommend taking the T. It stops in front of the museum.
Yea
Take the green line one stop to science park. It is not too far a walk from North station.
I highly doubt it because they dont usually do that but the hours will probably be shorter than usual
You have to use it at the place museum of science
Adults $25 kids $20
Oh yes, we saw a lightening storm and a real human brain while there. All ages can enjoy.
With a Massachusetts EBT/WIC card the admission into the Exhibit Halls will be free for a total of 4 people. Please present the card with a Massachusetts ID at the main entrance. This may be used once per day any time the Museum is open.
Parking garage with handicap access to the building. It costs about 16$ with a museum ticket for 18 hours. Not bad for Boston parking
I don't know for sure but i think you get free admission for upto 4 people. Would suggest you call them to verify...
The pendulum is across from the gift shop and in between the lockers and the food court.
Since the 1960s.
My opinion - they'll allow it when you explain it this way. Very accommodating.
If you have WIC or DTA card with your ID you can get in free with your disabled child. My son is disabled and we go.
