How far/safe is it to walk all the way to the Merecedes Benz Dome for a concert? Would Uber be a better idea than walking?

About 2 miles. A bit hilly. Got to walk through the Olympic Park and past the CNN center and Omni. I'd Uber. It's only about 8 to 12 bucks.
