Validated self-parking: $5 for the first 3 hours or part thereof; $3 every 30 minutes thereafter or part thereof. Validation with a minimum $10 purchase. Non-validated self parking: $8 per hour or part thereof

I parked for around 3 hours and 15 mins and was charged $14 after validation. I think the best way is to do the flat rate $10 public parking near USS Midway museum or near the area if you're going for longer duration. Otherwise there's a roadside parking near the food court in front of Seaport village as you enter.

I took an Uber and it droped me off at the designated area that i wanted to be. But also self parking is recommended and safe.

See Mike Glad's answer. That is my understanding as well.

5.00 buck don't forget to validate ITS expensive

I believe the parking is 5$ if you have validation or else 8$ per hour. This is the parking at the seaport village off of Pacific Hwy. There is metered parking off of Kettner blvd as well which is much cheaper ( around 2-3$ an hr could be wrong ). Since its metered parking it could be full.
