It depends if you get chilled easily and what the temperature is outside. It is 56 degrees inside the caverns. I wore a light sweatshirt and was comfortable.
It is 54 degrees, not 38. On a hot summer day, the caverns were very comfortably cool, but many people would get a little chilled, especially if they weren't hot going in! It was damp on the ground but not muddy. Wear comfortable shoes with good traction but I doubt you would ruin your shoes on either tour.
The caverns are a constant 54 degrees regardless of the surface temperature. The humidity is always above 90% and the air is cleaner than the air above ground.
Thank you for the answers. Our cavern is a constant 54 degrees, so a light jacket is always comfortable. It is wet inside the cavern, so water will occasionally drip on you. We hope to see you soon!
It was fine for us. About 50 degrees inside the caverns. There is no breeze and you are moving the entire time so you hardly feel it. But if you chill easy then a light jacket or a long sleeve shirt should suffice.
I didn't need a jacket, but I'm not easily chilled. I think the temp was perfect!
I wore a t-shirt and was comfortable.
It's about 38 degrees. I recommend a light jacket and an old pair of shoes. Some of the paths are narrow & you will scrap up and dirty up your shoes.
