With the riots & what not , is Amtrak Chicago pretty secure ? As I'm coming from ND to OH & was just curious if it's a secure area unlike Grayhound bus depot's where everyone can come & go as they wish . Thank you for your help in advance

With a business class or sleeper ticket access to Metropolitan Lounge is free and secure. Can also purchase day ticket for $35. They also provide luggage storage . Showers available there upon request , never utilized them but haven't heard anything bad about them.

It's pretty open, but no crazies really in the station. The lounge is safe

People still can come and go as they please... If you want a secure place you will have to purchase a ticket or you have or a sleeper berth and it's free at the metropolitan lounge... The price is $35 a day and you get free soft drinks upon request...
