Is there a minimum age or height for whitewater rafting? We have a 10 and 12 year old in our group. Would they be allowed to go whitewater rafting with us?

Hi John! Our minimum age for rafting the Lower New River Gorge, our most popular trip, is 9 years old in an oar rig and 12 years old in a paddle raft. If you call one of our Reservationists a call at 877-787-3982 they coordinate options to accommodate your group. The oar rig allows the guide to have a little more control over the raft with a younger crew that may not have the same strength as an adult crew to maneuver the rapids. Yes u must be over 18 to do the upper gaulley lower gauley under 18 must have a parent or gurdian present
