Last weekend our group of friends went rafting down the New River with Kevin and Tug. Kevin was our boat guide and was AWESOME! He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly - could not have asked for a better first time white water rafting experience. Kevin also took us on an adventure with what he called the "West Virginia Jacuzzi" - best part of the trip! I would highly recommend Ace as they were professional and helpful throughout the entire rafting experience. Lunch on the river was also very nice, however we didn't eat much because we ate before rafting and weren't sure what we were getting ourselves into. If you book a trip with Ace Adventure Resort be sure to ask for Kevin to be your guide. When we visit again (as I am sure we will), Kevin is the guy we want in our boat!

We did the upper new river with our 11 year old daughter and had a blast with Liam as our guide. Mostly class 1 and 2 with a few 3s. Perfect for our daughter's first rafting experience. Liam provided excellent directions, conversation and even a bit of history. Lunch was provided and also surprisingly well prepared. Would highly recommend and plan on making the trip again when our daughter is a bit older to try the lower new river.

Amazing! My kids never had so much fun. We came here for Mountain Music Festival 2022 and came back with our kids for zip lining, rafting, aerial course, and water park. Best family vacation ever and the festival was AMAZING!!! Sam our rafting guide was amazing!❤️. What really stands out about Ace is the people, simply the best, most helpful, and generous humans I’ve every run across in one place. Trust me, you will have the time of your life here, sharing amazing experiences in a beautiful setting with great people. Also the food and beer selection at the lost paddle is awesome and fairly priced. When you come here you’ll wanna spend the evenings chowing down delicious food with cold local beers and chatting with the staff and other guests instead of cooking at camp. ☮️ ❤️

Great family trip. Brought the family, me and my wife and two boys 10 & 14 and they had a great time. Zuko was a fantastic guide and showed us a great time on the lower new. We went zip lining with Liz, Cole and Nina and they were great too. Liz was very entertaining. We stayed in a camp tent delay which was nice and the kids had fun. Great family getaway and recommend it highly.

Vicki, your question is confusing because you are referring too two different places. However, both should be open tomorrow. But maybe you should call them first so that you have the names and location correct.
Yes, they have onsite "primitive" campsites, as well as a variety of cabins.
When you get there you will see a check in parking lot. Park there, check in and then you will move your vehicle to the loading spot. That will be explained at check in
Hello! ACE offers lodging year round as well as mountain biking, guided hikes, and zipline tours. Climbing and rappelling trips are weather dependent. I hope this helped!
They do! As a RV driver (38ft motorhome), I would not want to drive it on the roads to GET to Ace. Nor would I want to drive up the inclines there. But there ARE sites for them! And people were there but with smaller C Class when I was there.
Each adventure activity is separate from the stay. Free activities include hiking and biking (if you bring your own bike). Activities like rafting, ziplining, waterpark and Aerial park etc are all extra purchase options. There website will have more info on what's available. It's an amazingly fun place and highly recommend.
I was just there over the weekend and plenty of rafts. There are also a half a dozen other rafting companies in the area.
Hi Kathy, you can book an ATV tour with our partner company New River ATV's. You can either call 800-787-3982 to book or visit https://www.newriveratv.com/
Hi Dacia, We don't offer many free amenities to our guests like fishing in our pond or hiking miles of private trails but swimming at our Waterpark requires a half day or full day pass. Rates can be found here: https://aceraft.com/wonderland-waterpark-at-ace/wonderland-waterpark-passes/
Hi Cholie, thanks for reaching out! We are happy to accommodate folks with specific needs and will always provide a solution if possible. In this case the cane would easily be able to be brought along on the river trip and strapped into the raft. As far as transportation goes, as long as we are given ample time to plan accordingly, we can make special arrangements for specific transportation needs. Please give our reservations team a call after booking online, or mention these special concerns while booking by phone, and we'll happily make accommodations!
Hi Terry, our 1,500 acre private resort borders the New River's Gorge section. That territory is famous for small mouth bass, but it has many other species including catfish. We also allow our guests to fish in our stocked ponds (not to be confused with our Water Park). Unfortunately a WV fishing license is required to fish off of private property, however, you can purchase an out of state day license, or annual license, online at https://www.wvfish.com/ . We hope you join us this year!
Go to the Ace website for rates and what they offer. They book fast.
Ace has provided gift certificates for charitable giveaways at events I have attended in the past whether it be a cabin for the day or weekend or passes for ziplining excetera even need to contact their marketing department to see how they handle who they determine gets the passes and what qualifications you have to meet
I don't know We Stayed with a raft guide friend while Music Festival was There
Hi Jo Ann! Our cabins start at $159 a night for a Cedar Cabin. Rates go up from there based on which cabin you select and we have a 3 night minimum stay during peak season. We have options with everything you listed... including pets in certain cabins. Because we have 52 cabins of varying types on our 1,500 property the best way to see what we offer is to either check out this comparison chart: https://aceraft-3loao4gkpkrth.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/lodging-comparison-chart-18.pdf Or go to our loding page where you can sort by different criteria: https://aceraft.com/cabins-cottages-camping/ Of course, you can always give one of our Reservation Specialists a call at 877-787-3982 and they'll help you find what you need. Thanks for asking a question!
Hi Peter, we do allow you to bring your dog ... most of us here are dog owners also. Please call the reservations department at 877.787.3982 or hit them up on Facebook messenger for details regarding our pet policy. Hope to you join us this year! Hi Jason, we have several camping options for you to consider. Our Mountain Top Campround has traditional tent sites on grassy plots with just a short walk to the showers and restrooms. It's very affordable at only $15 per night. You can book online here https://aceraft.com/product/mountain-top-camping/ or call one of our Reservation Specialists at 877.787.3982 . We also have several other options for those looking for a rustic experience but a little more comfort like our cabin tents and RV campsites. Hope you come hang out with us in WV!
Do they weigh you on site? My daughter is the right weight as of her physical but only by two pounds and I am afraid after an active week she could be off?
Hi Haley - that refers to age. Thanks for asking!
Yes, they have camp ground space. They also have some cabins that are great.
Hi Pam! You can book additional activities once you arrive here at ACE for your getaway. We recommend you book your primary activity in advance, and any other activities that are on you "must do" list as sometimes we do reach max capacity on activities like ziplining. Finally, please remember that booking a cabin requires the addition of a guided activity. Lodging moves so quickly that we have to make sure our guests who have committed to our core offering, guided adventures, are served. We hope you come see us this year!
Hi John! Our minimum age for rafting the Lower New River Gorge, our most popular trip, is 9 years old in an oar rig and 12 years old in a paddle raft. If you call one of our Reservationists a call at 877-787-3982 they coordinate options to accommodate your group. The oar rig allows the guide to have a little more control over the raft with a younger crew that may not have the same strength as an adult crew to maneuver the rapids. The ride, however, is still incredibly fun! Thanks for reaching out! Haynes Mansfield Marketing Director ACE Adventure Resort
The crews running Ace Resort are some of the coolest loving people I've had the pleasure of knowing on this planet. Id say they'd work with you. I can't promise you but I think so
They have wet suit and shoe for rent pretty cheap . Just bring some zip lock bag that are air tight . . You be good to go!oh yeah bathing suite
Yes, and there are 3 options resturants on the property as well.
Its $30 for an adult for a full day, $20 for after 230
Hi Sarah, ACE Adventure Resort is a private, 1,500 acre resort is located adjacent to the New River Gorge. We have riverfront property on the New River that includes a private beach for launching some of our river trips and outstanding cliff top views of the Gorge from our Concho overlook and our cliffside zipline tours. Our Wonderland Waterpark is located on our largest 5-acre lake but we have a couple smaller ones on the property as well. One is stocked for fishing.
No, they don't offering water tubing. However, they offer SUP and whitewater rafting. In addition, they have an outstanding waterpark, if was featured on the Travel Channel.
The schedule, according to the their website is 10am-6pm, daily.
We camped for the week of the 4th and paid 29.95 for water park plus our tent rental.
Yep. Water shoes.
Sporadically with Verizon. Texts were mostly fine but calls and emails not consistent. AT&T was the winner in our group.
Yes if you BYOB
Yes call them they are very nice and super helpful.. love this place
Yes in order to rent a cabin you have to schedule a guided activity. The cabins range from 200 up to 500 a night plus whatever activity you chose
You'll be lucky to have service at all but it is a getaway
Not at all, you can pick whatever you want to do
You can buy a pass
You really should call for more accurate info on the cabins because the rates differ greatly depending on your group size and time of year.
I didn't see any myself but then I'm not exactly the best person to ask about the whole "alternative nightlife scene".
Water park tickets are non refundable but there is only a 30 minute time out for thunderstorms
Pcbs in the little town you have to drive through to get there and the creek runs right in to the river. You can find it on the web just research search it a little !
Fire pits and rings no grills
It used to be every Saturday when the pigs was on the buffet, not sure if they've changed that or not. If you have a big party though and want a pig they will roast one for you I'm sure, they're pretty amicable! Talk to Randy Blevins, he manages the kitchen
Adam and Grant were awesome zip-guides. Down to earth and comical. Beautiful sights on the zip tour. Check places like Groupon for discounts. We booked zip for $79 and stayed a day or two in tents. Tent set-ups were nice but the facilities for bathroom/showers lacked. Upgrade if you plan to stay overnight.
Everything is priced differently, depending on the activity that you have planned. Say if you want to go to their water park, you have to pay that admission, but if you want to do the rope course too it is an additional fee, white water rafting is another additional fee and so forth. Or you can do such activities individually. Hope this helps! 😎
15 ft in deep part, yes it's drained every winter
It's deep but life jackets are mandatory while in the water
at the water park they have a kid zone
Cant help
We rented a cabin while attending the very first wedding held there last summer. It's was great! Outdoor private Jacuzzi per cabin
I live near cranberry, and it took us 4 hrs. It was completely worth it!
Yes, reverse and pull thru sites. Full hookups for power, water and sewer. Shower houses are also near by and the roads are pretty wide and well taken care of.
The lower new rive to includes 2-5 class rapids. Contact the resort about availability. They respond very quickly.
There is a restaurant at the resort. I cannot pinpoint the rating anywhere, but if you like pizza then they have great pizza.
