The park closes at 11:00pm. I walk there early in the morning and see more people that are experiencing homelessness sleep there...not sure wha the rules are for regular camping.

There is no camping at Green Lake. It's a nice place for a picnic though.

This is a great state park that offers camping in well care for sites with frequent drive by supervision of the park police. the campground was quite and deer and raccoons came by the site in the evening. a well groomed trail around 2 lakes (very doable for even our 4 and 7 year old) and many good fishing spots for the kids to catch pan fish and myself a few trout. There are many hills and paved paths for bike riding ( no bikes allowed on trails). A well groomed beach with snack bar and a playground that even our teens enjoyed. There are cross country ski trails throughout, a beautiful golf course on the far end of park and the calm water made it a great place for the kids to practice canoe skills. We enjoyed geocache finding and watching people letting their dogs swim on the far end of the lake. Across the main road is the Erie Canal with nice walking, bike trail and more good fishing or canoe/kayak.

Not legally its in the middle of the city. Although that ordinance probably isn't enforced.
