No you cannot pet the wolves. Some of the experienced volunteers come it contact. Try looking for a place that has wolf "hybrids", you're more likely able to be able to interact with them.

There's a fenced area around the wolf pens where only the handlers can stand to interact with them, other than feeding them they don't interact with the wolves physically either, they bite extremely hard, and the guides even watch where they stand so they don't get snuck on.
