Hey Donna! As stated in a few of the other responses, there isn't much walking, but this depends on what tour you are planning to take. The private tour is mostly the rear parts of the sanctuary, and is on level ground, an old field, actually. The only obstical you may encounter is a path up a rather steep hill which serves as the access path to the rear enclosures. Other than this, both the upper and lower (front or rear, if you'd like) parts of the sanctuary are mostly level, appart from the off tree root. I managed to get around here just fine with a fractured ankle, as there are hand rails up and down the hill. Hope you enjoy your visit! -Josh.
No, not a lot of walking and please don't go uphill. It is steep coming down. Price is $15.00 for adult and $14.00 for senior (63 and older.) Check website for hours. They just got 6 pups, still in quarantine, when we were there but they will be kept as a pack since they are brothers and sisters. It is truly an education!
There's not a lot of walking required. Most of the walking is on relatively flat surface. There is a portion that is up hill, but you don't have to go up of you dont want to. The tour portion is generally at your own pace and is roughly 1 to 1-1/2 hours long. You determine how long it is. There are guides at each enclosure to tell you about the wolves at each location. Make sure you pay attention to the tour dates and times, as they only run one tour a day and I don't believe they run them every day. The tours run rain or shine.
Steep gill on second half, just couple months from knee surgery, going down it was rough
It wasn't crazy walking (I have a bum knee) but the hill can be tough
It's all walking. The first part was ok for my husband (stroke survivor), but the last part involved a steep hill. He got up and down it, but there was a challenge
