Is Big Meadows Lodge the closet place to get cell phone/internet service? Thanks much for the replies! I'm expecting my 1st grandchild to be born during my stay. It's good to know I can check my phone every so often.

Coverage is spotty. There were spots where I could txt but not call with Sprint. My girlfriend had verizon and also had trouble. Ironically, i got the best coverage while hiking the trails

Depending on your provider service is available in most areas. I have Verizon and it's spotty but get it at Lewis mountain no issue very clear up by the store. Also every overlook has fair service as well.
