Sometimes the sensor can go bad. It can happen in extreme sold weather. That happened to me and I went to KIA and they replaced it. Better have than sorry!

No it actually isn't but it would be wise check air pressure make sure not flat thoughs are usually the warnings of flat tire or just needs a little air
