Fantastic place to stay in Columbia Gorge. Centrally located, river access, great park!

Noise from highway and train is minimal. You either have to choose to park near main bathrooms or the access to the river. The $24 fee to camp is great since water and 30amp electric is provided.
Try Love Instead
This Campground is absolute heaven. Yes the freeway is on one side of it and the train traffic on the other. However the short walk to the Columbia River makes it all worth it. Make sure if you stay here to walk down there and check out that gorgeous Beach. Absolutely stunning. The restrooms and showers we're clean as it's Park. And the price was right for $24. The RV sites are large, some are smaller and yes you will have to disengage that there seem to be plenty of large one for our 19 ft travel trailer in big truck. We have Water and Electric but there's no sewer. Restrooms are are short walk away and you where you parked in the campground. The hosts Russ and Paula came quickly to inform us of all the details of the park. We were there on October 31st and now the park will be closed November 1st. I have included some photos of beautiful fall scenes. Again absolutely stunning. Don't Miss!

One of our favorite places to camp. There is road noise, but the camp sites are convenient and secluded. Very close to Hood River and Cascade Locks. We love to kayak in some of the nearby tributaries.

Yes. If you're camping there be advised trains run those tracks all hrs of the day and night
Yes you can, there is a trail to the water from the day use area. The water moves fast though.
There are hiking trails just past the interstate, East of the trail to Starvation Park.
No but nearby trails might be closed.
