Tiny little lake area, if you are an artist it's worth painting, small dirt path leads around the lakes. I didn't really see a good spot for fishing but I'm sure you could find one. No picnic areas at all around the lake, well it's really more a big pond. Nice to look at, take in some deep breaths and listen to the birds. Only passed a few people so very quiet.

This is a hard time of year to visit a natural area like this. There is still lots of mud on the trail so tread lightly. Don't shortcut the trail either. That causes lots of erosion. Otherwise it's a great place to visit

I've reviewed McMurry befire. It was peaceful again. The wildflowers were in bloom at the natural area today. Water level in the ponds seemed low. Because of the wet spring, there is tons of tall grass. We beat the heat by getting out in the trail by 9 am. Sunscreen or protective clothing, and bug repellent recommended.
