We've been to several different banfield locations over the years and they always treat our pets so well. My dog is a large bully breed that is not dog friendly, and they have always accommodated her and shown her love. We love them as our vet, and their wellness program makes routine care affordable.

First I want to preface this review with comment that I have compassion and gratitude for anyone working in the veterinarian field, especially during these times. I do not want to bash any vet, so I want to make it clear that I think anything connected to my story is based on the banfield corporation. I think they’re overworking their staff and over booking patients which is causing a major strain on the vets and not giving patients the attention they need. I’ve learned through my process to just pay the extra money for a place that will thoroughly go over your pets chart, listen to you, and you have a consistent vet each appointment. I brought my kitty in for some cold symptoms in December. I mentioned he was losing weight and his fur looked bad. I was told his fur and weight look great and he will get better but he needed vaccines and a teeth cleaning. I felt I wasn’t “heard” and my worries were written off as nothing. 3 weeks later his symptoms got worse. They treated him with antibiotics. He still continued to worse. They treated for allergies. I think we ended up having around 5 vet visits total at banfield trying various antibiotics and medications. Each time they’d suggest trying something they’ve already done and I’d have to remind that he’s already done that. Each time I had a new vet who had no clue what was going on during prior visits. They sent me a list of “dermatologists” to try for his respiratory issues. I finally got in to another veterinarian office for a second opinion (not banfield) and they looked over his records extensively. They where confused about the dermatologist referrals and said he needed an internest for a nasal scope. 3 days after that second opinion my kitty almost died and had to get rushed to ER. Rhe ER did an emergency scope and ct scan and diagnosed him with nasal lymphoma March 22nd. He now has an appt with an oncologist to get SRT April 25th, but today we had to rush him to the er because he is declining and his cancer is getting worse fast. 1.5 before his radiation therapy and I think I’m losing him. I’m afraid we won’t make it to his therapy before he dies. I wish banfield would’ve read my charts extensively. I wish the minute they shrugged their shoulders at me they would’ve sent me referrals to internal medicine. I wish the first time I brought him in I wasn’t told I was wrong for worrying about his fur and weight loss. I think banfield is a “bandaid” and they’re good for general wellness but my advice to anyone going is this: if you have a serious concern and banfield can’t fix it, ask for an internal medicine specialist immediately and save yourself the precious vital time that could save your animals life. And don’t get sucked into their “wellness plan”.

My cats have been patients at this clinic for the past 3 years. They have received quality care in the past, but this has changed. If I am arriving early for my appointment time, I expect my time to be respected. Instead, most visits I find myself on hold in the parking lot well past my scheduled time. I have rarely actually had the chance to speak to a veterinarian, and if I do it's only for a brief minute. I am not a fan of dropping my cats off and being told to come back 6 hrs later. I don't want a dropbox for pets I love when they are sick. I want to talk to a veterinarian. If you want a more personal caring experience go elsewhere.

First time at Banfield and definitely happy I came here. The vet was the best, she was caring, informative and super personal which made me feel wonderful to know our sweet puppy was going to be seen there. Very happy with Banfield!

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 17, 2020

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 17, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
