I just finished the handgun safety course that the club offers. As a recent first time gun owner, this course was exactly what I needed. I would highly recommend the course to anyone wanting to learn how to safely handle and own a handgun, and also become proficient in its use. As other reviewers mentioned the Range Officers are very knowledgeable and all too happy to help make sure your experience is safe and fun!

A nice range that offers archery to skeet. You need to check their calendar to see what days they are open for specific sports. They don't offer modern amenities that you'd find at an indoor range, but very inexpensive to go here.

In addition to the Well Armed Armed Woman, the GHSC offers a Basic Handgun Safety class. It is not a women only class, but most of the participants are women. The Club's website under the tab "Gun Safety" will lead you to the details of the class. We are also offering a basic shotgun class for women periodically.
Washington Correction Center for Women utilize the range Monday and Thursday from 8am-2pm. You can check the calendar for such at the website www.sportsman-club.org/content/calendar
No, we do not allow shooting buckshot at the rifle range. You can go by the shotgun/trap range and speak to a range officer about checking the pattern. Thank you for your question.

The club has been here since 1947. We strive to be good neighbors and maintain compliance with city ordinance.
