Purchased tires on July 4th, Costco said it would take 10 to 15 days to deliver tires. Never received delivery confirmation so I scheduled an installation appointment. On the day of my installation the tires center rep called informing me that they only had 3 of the 4 tires. He reached out after researching the problem to let me know that the tire last tire would be there Tuesday the 19th and he would let me know when it got there. Come around next week and no one ever called, I attempted to reach out 3 times over the next week never once did someone pick up the phone. Finally I made another appointment, when I arrived the rep a the front desk yet again told me that they only had 3 tires. At this point I had ordered tires 20 days prior. I asked them if they could install 2 of the 3 as I had a major leak in one. Mind you I did not have a 4wheel drive or awd car. They informed me that they could only install a set of 4 and that they could not order my 4th tire. I was given the option to either buy 4 other tires of lesser quality at a higher price or receive a refund and take my business to discount tire. This issue seemed to be a known problem from the way the rep at the front explained it to me. Super super disappointed in this whole experience. Needless to say I got a refund and had tires installed next day at discount. I can not stress enough not to waste your time with this mess of a system.

Update: the tire center and management worked with me and paid half the cost of the replacement for my window. Still a very frustrating experience that unnecessarily cost me hundreds of dollars, but I appreciated they took responsibility and did what they could to correct the situation. Went in for a tire rotation. I had no idea they "have to roll all the windows down for safety" because they may accidently lock your keys in the car. I don't know why all 4 windows have to be down, but when they heard the very loud grinding sound my drivers side window makes when you roll it down, they should have immidiately stopped trying to roll it down. It doesn't go back up. Not only did they roll it all the way down for no reason without making sure it would go back up, but when they gave me the keys I basically got a we can't do anything for you response with no real empathy or concern for what a big deal it is. My drivers side window is completely open. If I lived in an apartment or didn't have a garage my car would be stolen in less than 24 hours. They didn't care. They have the ability to be able to help get the window back up, but didn't take responsibility for the stupidity of the person who rolled the obviously broken window all the way down. The best I got was a "maybe corporate will approve paying to have it fixed" in a very unconvincing tone. If my car makes it the 2-3 days its going to take to get it into a shop to be fixed. Worst experience with Costco ever. Had they show any real concern for their huge mistake, it might have helped. But they really didn't care. Somehow I should have know they need to roll all 4 windows down to make sure they don't lock my keys in the car and I should have told them the loud grinding noise when you roll the drivers window down means it broken.

Had an appointment and came in on time. Was told tires not in. Why can’t they call before that so that we don’t have to take time off from work. Employees at tire center used to be friendly but now they don’t seem to care. There is a certain apathy. Also prepare to spend at least two hours when they take your car. Last time I used their tire center.

I am generally a big fan of Costco but not the tire center. Everything takes so long and they aren’t careful. I’ve had wheels scratched and lug bolts stripped. Free flat repair etc is nice but expect to wait most of a day if you can’t make an appointment (and not a lot less if you can).

You can visit the store, call, or online
The Clackamas Costco is going to require you to make an appointment insanely busy and can take a week or so to get in...
The website address is Costcotireappointments.com It is a relatively simple process. You have to make an account by putting in your email address and a password. Once you do that you enter your order number off of your receipt. Then you select an appointment time. If you just drop it off, instead of it taking an hour, it could take all day.
