A few or more staff members treated patients poorly. Patients that needed to be there were kicked out for little things that didn't bother or hurt anyone and they were the ones that needed the treatment the most it seemed. I was absolutely disgusted in two staff members watching how they talked to patients and how awfully rude to them for no apparent reason. Would never recommend this place to anybody. Nobody needs to be treated badly especially in a hospital where you are paying the bill to be there which is how they make a living. They need to fire and hire more understanding staff members.

wonderful facility and staff and helped me feel supported and stronger during my crisis. there's a positive connection among the staff and patients and you can tell they really care about us (patients). in a way I wish I could go back because I felt protected and safe from the outside world and stressers in my normal life. the food and shower facilities are just okay but it is a hospital so my expectations were low. if I ever struggle again I will go back there for sure

Dangerous toxic environment from abusive therapists. They only seem to want to help and care about easy patients. Be careful here, advocate for your self and loved ones you know that may go here, and don’t take their bull. Glad it helps some people, still scary to know people in this field working in a place like that are allowed to act the way they do. Will never bother asking Kaiser for help again.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Brookside. The inpatient program saved me. The fact that you are offered a recovery method outside of 12 steps is unlike many other treatment options. Giving you genuine guidance and tools to make recovery possible IF YOU CHOOSE TO MAKE THAT CHANGE FOR YOURSELF. The staff is incredible. Knowledgeable, non judgemental and you're treated with respect from the second you walk through the doors. You are aligned with a counselor to guide you through your journey. The facility is impeccably clean and the sweet cleaning staff are an added bonus. My stay during difficult Covid times was handled with precaution and every effort was taken to keep staff and patients safe, masked and socially distanced. I gave four stars because it isn't perfect. It could be a warmer facility. ie; lighting, paint color, carpets, inspirational pictures or quotes. The food choices are limited and get tiresome after three weeks, but you definitely aren't under fed. Bring your own blanket and pillow as well. It is a hospital environment so those items aren't very comfortable, but they are provided. Overall I am pleased with my experience and would most definitely recommend Brookside to those in need of such a program.
