I love taking my dog here! He can be a bit slow to warm up to new humans, though the staff was extremely patient and understanding with him. My pup now loves going in and does well with all the staff! I would 100% recommend them, especially if your pup is a bit anxious like mine.

I would like to share this review on the behalf of employment opportunity. This establishment is very well put together, happy to see Chris and his wife do well still to this day with the business. Long story short, I decided to not take the job before I was hired on. The reason being is lack of training that I personally had. Moving forward, I am involved with programs for intensive dog training, and finished my pet spa grooming owner Certification. I graduated the program with an overall grade of 90%. The programs for the dog training needed me to have a solid plan and path of how I would like to do things. I wrote it out, and they liked it alot. This field is alot of work, at the same time it makes me happy and is enjoyable. I’ve since then got job offers in the animal field, although I have declined them due to wanting to focus more on school and get as much dog and cat training as possible, including the my CPR And First Aid. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and have a great day. Enjoy the amazing service this company offers. Robert Pierce

I'm writing this review in regard to the two week board and train. First off, Chris is extremely accommodating. He was able to get me in asap to address a few concerns I had with my dog, Charlie. Charlie was anxious, aggressive towards strangers, and lacked basic obedience among a few other things. I tried training him myself, but our current living environment proved to be too overwhelming for Charlie and I needed a quick fix to control Charlie's behavioral issues. I'm happy to say with the training Charlie received and the guidance Chris gave me, Charlie is more confident and relaxed around strangers. (as a lab should be!) While Charlie still shows some anxious behavior on walks, his self-control is leaps ahead of where he used to be, and seems to get better each time I walk him. I can even let him out on my porch without him barking at my neighbors, and the various sounds in my apartment building don't bother him a bit either, which (was) a huge problem for me. Overall, what UniversityK9 was able to accomplish in two weeks is pretty much what I had hoped, and I'm honestly astounded how quickly a dog can change in two weeks. I could tell Charlie had a blast while he was there, and was definitely in great hands. I highly recommend this place if you're on either a budget or a tight schedule (or both like me!).

This place is absolutely incredible! We took a chance with our girl and weren’t sure what to expect, but I have to say we are blown away. Roxy came back a different dog as far as her behavior. Still our sweet and loving girl, but SO much more obedient. She also came back more calm and confident. It is pretty amazing! A HUGE thank you to Chris and his staff. We appreciate what you did for us and will be referring you to anyone in need of dog training!

Chris Ford | Aug 18, 2019

Hi Jennifer, yes we use e-collars, leash training, treat training, and verbal praise to teach the dogs boundaries and commands. My program is also based on the dogs having fun during training, while remaining focussed. Thanks for your question.
