Such a beautiful waterfall. Always busy here so be prepared for the crowds. Also, make sure to get a waterfall permit before.

Beautiful location. Gift shop is located at the bottom of the falls. You can view the falls in their entirety from the bottom without having to hike. The trail up the falls begins here as well, so if you're feeling adventurous and strong, prepare for a massive hike.

Beautiful falls! What's nice, is you can enjoy the beauty and wonder without a hike. It's accessible to all! We only had time to view it from the bottom, and the bridge was closed and under construction. We went midday in the fall and there were plenty of people but everyone passes through fairly fast so getting a nice picture was always an option. Was expecting to see some fall colors as we went during "peak", but we didn't.

These iconic waterfalls are an absolute wonder of nature and a must visit if you are in the Portland area. This is a gem for photography lovers, take your tripod with you and enjoy it. The best spot for the pictures is actually at the base, a few steps from the parking lot. If you are willing to hike a short steep path you can reach the bridge to take extra pictures of the upper falls. On the other hand, in my opinion going all the 2-mile way up to the top of the falls is not worth it. The way is super steep, narrow and strenuous, and the views from above are not that great, not of the falls anyway, perhaps of the river and the highway. I recommend coming here early in the morning (by 8-9 am), as the main parking lot is small and fills up quickly. there is a overfill parking lot by interstate 84 that connects this with a tunnel. There is also a small cafeteria to have breakfast and restrooms as well.
