This was the first and last time I will be taking my cat there. When I called and made an appointment for my cat’s yearly visit, nobody told me she needed to be in a carrier. My cat prefers to be swaddled and carried in my arms, as I’ve always done when I take her places, including her past vets. They insisted that I buy a cardboard box from them for her to sit in or they couldn’t take her appointment. They told me $9 for the cardboard box. This was the longest, slowest vet experience of our lives. I was there for an hour and a half just for a cat check up and was late getting back to work. Then, they changed the price of the cardboard box to $10 when I was leaving. The vet herself was very nice, but the rest of the staff created a hostile feel for the place. Banfield at Petsmart by the mall was so much nicer.

Technician lacks empathy. I've been going to this vet for 2 years now for usual checkups. I had them clip my dogs toenails for the first time, and they handed me back my dog dripping blood on the floor. Turns out they sliced her paw pad (not even the quick), and had to repair it with surgical glue. The surgical glue didn't hold, and she is now at home still bleeding. (there was also another nail bleeding that required quickstop that I had to point out to them after they "repaired" her paw). There was never an acknowledgment from the vet, no apologies, and nothing from the technician. The head of pet pals says the technician "lacks communication" which is why I didn't get an apology, but failing to check a paw for blood as well as failing to surgically glue it back together is not communication, it is neglect. Imagine going to get a manicure, they slice your finger open and requires surgical glue to close, and you get zero communication and just sent home. If you ever encounter any mistakes from this tech, you will feel no closure, and you will realize they just see you as a number and do not actually care about the health of your animal. If you go there to pick up medication, fine. If you have them do any work on your dog, expect neglect. A lot of the people here are great, friendly people who I enjoy. Whoever worked on my pup is a different story though.

Pet Pal is absolutely wonderful. My baby bear Yogi had a medical emergency and Pet Pal was fully booked, but the minute they had a cancellation they called me back to bring him in to be seen. They took such good care of him and me, (I was a wreck with worry) they reassured me throughout the whole visit that everything would be ok. I am so grateful. My visit was affordable and Yogi is on the mend. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs a great quality caring clinic for their furry loved ones. Thank you Pet Pal. 💛

I don't believe they take appointments for shots, vet visits, etc. First come, first served. While you're at a vet visit and it's determined that your animal need a teeth cleaning, oral surgery, or something similar, they will make an appointment for that at that time since they do certain procedures only on certain days. It's also difficult to call there and have them answer the phone. You have to leave a message and expect a call back hours later.
Parvo is very serious. You will most likely need an emergency vet visit ASAP!
You will have to call. But they are very reasonable on all their services. They have been very good to me. Nice staff.
I am on a fixed income also. I have been going to Pet Pal for 5 yrs. They are very affordable. I paid a fraction of what other Vets charge. They are very nice and compassionate. I usually daw Dr. Smith/ director. Best care ever. I have had all kinds of animals through out my life and know a good Vet. My cat neeed a tooth pulled. I got quotes frim several Vets. $300-500 to pull a tooth. Pet Pal....$140 included OV and meds. Plus, lots if love. This year i had to let my Nellie go. They have a hospice Dr. She helped with my decision and grief. Good luck!
No they don't close for lunch. The only scheduled appointments are surgery. Exams and vaccines are by walk in.
You do need an appointment. If you'd like a great vet that is walk in try Pet Pal 1900 34th St. S.
I know they do dental work here, not sure if there is a specialist.
It is better to make an appointment. They get very busy.
It is a very unusual question. They're very nice people so why don't you pick up the phone and call them and ask?
Dr Smith and Dr Exelby are primary vets..Dr Londono is a relief vet on certain days..
Call them the staff is very helpful. The best thing I ever did was move from a $$$ vet clinic to them!!!
Call them
Yes you must see the vet at least once. Once established you can get medication there or chewy or at their facility.
All there prices are at a big discount.....don't believe they charge extra
You might want to call Pet Pal or take the dog there for a $30 exam and find out from them because they are so much cheaper than my bet was and my friends met and they're excellent
It's walk in only but you must be there between 8am and I believe noon to see the vet. It sounds like you need to see the vet. It is a great clinic and they are very thorough.
Not sure but they are a full-service Vet Clinic so chances are good
As far as I know they are qualified to perform all surgeries, but that is a question the staff would have to answer
They're busy down there I had the same problem trying to call so when I went there I got in and out fairly quick within 40 minutes great people to deal with I had to put my cat to sleep and they were very sympathetic
A total of 75. 35 for initial visit 40 to put sleep. Extremely nice 😊
Do they have anxiety pill for dogs
They will and the fee is based on the weight of the dog. The more the dog weighs the more drug is needed.
You need to have an exam first and then they will give you an estimate for a procedure
They have a deal $100 for all the shots plus licence.
Cyndi, you would need to call them regarding their procedure for cleaning the teeth
They are very funny though when one of the doctors is out they will not prescribe medicine for the other doctors patients even if they're currently taking the script
You can purchase flea medication from SPOT without a vet visit. For dogs, I believe it's Activyl. If you require heartworm treatments, you're going to have to see the vet for a blood test. I know SPOT is limited to being open only a couple days a week for vet visits, Pet Pal at 1900 34th St. S. is open 6 days a week. First in, first served and they too are $35 a visit, not including tests or meds.
Honestly I don't have a answer
Per Pet Pal's website, Deworming for Hooks/Rounds only $16 Tapeworm dewormer price is determined by weight
We don't advocate declawing of cats. It has many cons and most likely, if the issue is only scratching furniture, that can be corrected without removing a cats claws. Please reconsider declawing. Here's Jackson Galaxy discussing the issue: https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/blog/declawing-debate-jacksons-response/
We were up at the Grant is now ended because it was used up.
We don't. Try Oak Hurst?
All pricing is on website
Just call them.
I don't work at Pet Pal, I can't give you any of that type of information. But I'm sure if you look up the phone number you can call and see if anyone answers and they can help you then.
