I'm so glad I chose to go with Optima! I heard about it on the radio and thought I would give it a try. It's been 5 years since I've done my income taxes so, I was really scared about what the IRS was going to take after filing all the past income taxes. Optima Tax Relief was not worth our time and money! They do ABSOLUTELY nothing that you can’t do for yourself by simply working with the IRS. Save your money and time. What they will charge you can actually go towards your IRS payment. If I could have given them NO stars I would have because one star is OVERLY too generous! JUST DON’T HIRE OPTIMA. I wish I could have read my review before I did! Sincerely.

Optima saved me!!! Everyone that worked with me was very professional but also super kind. They listened to my concerns and took them seriously. I never felt like just another customer. Alex was so patient and got things done. She was and is an angel!!! Optima was able to reduce my hefty tax debt to just one payment of $100. I am starting conversations with the AG office in my state and the state in which Optima operates in. The BBB is just one of the steps being done. I have had it. Almost $9k paid to them and assurances nearly 2 years ago no garnishment or anything else would happen on back tax case we were resolving with Optima and the IRS. My case was bounced to 3 or 4 different people. Money taken from my account every month last year. No resolution. Nothing had been done with my file until October 2021. Have not heard from them since. Called them tonight. Why? The IRS just took my entire refund for 2021. Precisely what I paid Optima $9k to prevent. I can't begin to tell you how awful I have been treated. One woman working on the case last year yelled at me and over talked me when I was angry about still getting threatening IRS letters and that zero had been done on my case in ten months. She said she would get back to me. Never did. My case file wound up with someone else. Another year nothing done. I am livid.

be very leery of anything these guys tell you. they lie. almost as bad as the IRS. they will tell you anything to get your money. then you can expect to have to chase and chase them to get them to do anything and then they will tell you that they have submitted everything and the IRS wants x. believe me when i say you can do the same or better without them.

Only to find out, the bill I was concerned about had already been taken care of, by my accountant, before he died... Optima Tax Relief claim in their ads, they are recognized by the BBB ? In one or two states, maybe ? ..Which does not include the state of. FLORIDA !Maybe the critics and comedians are right, after all ? What is it about we native Floridians, (including all transplants) that makes us the way we are ? I didn't think I was this naive ? Resolution was none I still have to pay the IRS what I owed. I didn't get any brake. No one talk to IRS about taking less money. Just set-up payment. In which I could have done that myself.

You need to get in touch with the person that is handling your case and let them know that you have received a letter from IRS and let them know what is happening. It takes a while for the wheels to start turning because when you own IRS they take there sweet time. It took me two and a half years before I got any satisfaction. So call them and let them know your discomfort and concerns and I am pretty sure you will look at things differently. Hope you get satisfaction soon.

If you do call Optima and give them the permission they will do a search to find out exactly what. I think they call it discovery. After that they will contact you to see if want to go forward.

I thought they handled state as well they just got me for $1200 dollars and i'm still getting my check garnish of my pay 50 percent of my pay when they told me they had it knock down to 12.5 percent. I know I told them that this was for the state they knew it was for the state as well and still took my money. I do feel like it was just a scam. no weapon formed against me shall prosper. may God bless each and everyone of them. I wouldn't recommend them to nobody at all. I could've paid the state the $1200.00 dollars I gave them for nothing.
