This is my favorite Banfield by far! Hannah is amazingly thorough and caring, the veterinarians are incredible and talk you through everything prior to receiving care. They really care about the services they provide and make certain you are informed.

Thank you: Jane, Celeste, and Dr. Hahn for excellent service and veterinary care for Augustus, my cat with numerous chronic health issues (June 2022). I hope the Banfield company appreciates you! I have been bringing my cat (& very senior dog here before she passed) for at least 5 years. They were/are both on the Optimal Wellness Plans, which work similarly to insurance, but at a much much better rate. They have saved me thousands of $$ while providing high quality care. The vets here are fantastic: Dr. Jawahir and Dr. Klein are my cat's regular vets. My father is a retired veterinarian, and I myself am in medicine, so I have high standards for vet care, and they always meet or exceed my expectations.

I just moved to Portland about two months ago and my boy Winston needed some medical attention. Every Vet I called was scheduling out 3 to 4 weeks for appointments if they were taking them ay all. Banfield was able to squeeze Winston in in two weeks and everyone there was very pleasant.

I was told to grab a coffee nearby because our dog was only getting two vaccines. Administering two routine shots shouldn't take long. I checked in after two hours and was told the doctor couldn't administer the shots until the afternoon. They felt comfortable leaving our dog in a kennel for 10+ hours. I was not. So, I took our dog home. Why tell me to grab a coffee because the visit won't take long if it's actually going to be ten hours? Seems cruel to make a dog sit in a kennel for something that will take 5 minutes.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
